Telstra home broadband three free data top-ups

If you’re a Telstra home broadband customer, and your internet has slowed because you’ve gone over your monthly data allowance, you can use Telstra’s three for free data top-ups to get extra data at no extra cost.

Here’s what you need to know about your three for free data top ups

It’s available for fixed home broadband customers on ADSL, Cable, Velocity and NBN
You can request up to three top-ups per year at any time
Once your top-up is activated your internet will return to normal speed within 30 minutes
Each top-up will reset your standard usage allowance for the remainder of your billing cycle only. For example, if you have 100GB you will get an extra 100GB to use for the rest of your billing cycle
Any unused top-ups will expire at the end of the calendar year
You can only top up if your internet has been slowed because you’ve exceeded your monthly usage allowance – not if it’s been slowed by credit management
How to top-up
You can request a top-up by logging in to Telstra 24x7 MyAccount or through the Telstra 24x7 App.

Topping up using the 24x7 App
From the 'Dashboard' tap your home broadband service which will take you to the 'Service Summary' page
Under the 'Service Summary' page, head to the 'Add Ons' tab (see example images below)
You will see the 'Free data top-ups' option
